Let’s Talk About Boobs!

June 1st, 2009

Breasts are something considered to be very special. Women and men both love them and may obsess over them a little too much I feel. Hollywood is just as obsessed with this unique body part and some women will go as far as going through surgery to implant artificial breasts. Besides the fact that they are nothing more than fatty tissues, breasts seem to be a nation wide phenomenon. Little girls catch on rather quickly with this fad and start stuffing their bras in hopes that it would speed up the process of growth. The truth is that breasts are nothing more than something to feed offspring with.
Girls reach puberty at different ages depending on their genes and heredity. Some girls will start growing them at as young as 8 years old where other girls might not show any growth until their early teens.

Thanks to the hormones in Milk and dairy, girls and boys are showing early growth in breast tissue. When breasts first start to develop the bump on your nipple called the breast bud will lead the way to breast growth. The bud gets bigger and then the breast follows. They become larger and rounder as time goes by. The areola, the dark area around your nipple, grows bigger and darker. Nipples have a variety of color including pink, light gray, brown, depending on your complexion. If you develop earlier than other girls it doesn’t mean you will have larger breasts, the same applies to girls that grow at a larger age. Size depends on heredity. It takes about 3-5 years to reach your full size. It’s normal for them to feel sore and tender during puberty and even during a women’s moon cycle.

A woman’s breast has pockets in them called alveoli which are where the milk is produced. Hormones are what signal the body to produce milk to feed a baby. The nipple has small holes where the baby will suck on to draw milk from the breast. Some women have even reported that the sound of their baby crying makes the breast produce milk and create leakage of milk from time to time. After they stop breast feeding the baby the alveoli stops producing milk slowly but surely.

It’s normal for breasts to be uneven and for it to have odd shaped nipples such as inverted nipples or nipples that turn out. These things will not affect your health in any way. Some women even produce more hair than other which is also completely normal. If the hair bothers you, you can trim the hair around your nipple with scissors. Stretch marks on your breasts are normal and due to rapid growth or decrease in size. If you keep your skin moisturized and drink enough water then it can increase elasticity in your skin and decrease the chance of stretch marks.

Discharge from the breast can be found at times. It’s important to know about breast health and signs of infection like discharge coming from the nipple. If your breast discharges brown, green or bloody discharge can come from your dilated breast duct which should be checked by a doctor. A yellow clear discharge may be a sign of a girl’s menstrual cycle soon to arrive. White milky discharge when not breast feeding can be a sign of becoming pregnant, result of medications high in hormones, low thyroid levels or a tumor. Any discharge should be checked out by a doctor and should not be ignored. The same goes for any lumps and bumps.

Financing An Auto Loan

May 8th, 2009

After years of easy credit, no money down, 0 percent financing, and easy leases with low monthly payments, buyers in the American car market are having a bit of a rude awakening when it comes to auto loan financing.

This is the first time in many years that there are a significant number of car buyers who have concerns about qualifying for an automobile loan.

There are many financial experts who are warning car buyers that banks and other lending institutions are not going to be offering attractive and easy to get loans for many years.

On the other hand, there has never been a better time to buy a brand new car, as dealerships are struggling to clear out the glut of automobiles on their lots. Especially on domestic models, car buyers can find discounted prices, even employee pricing, rebates and dealer cash back offers that make a new car purchase a very attractive proposition (be aware of car buy-back programs though).

And financing may be more difficult to obtain, but it is certainly not impossible to get. It may just not be the easy money that was available in the past.

While some people will try to pay cash, for most people, cash for a new car is an impossible dream.

Dealers are positive about the ability of consumers to get financing, if they are in the average risk category.

Those who are high risk: carry high debts, have a history of not repaying loans, have filed for bankruptcy, have no or very low income, or have high debt to income ratios – will have more difficulty getting a loan.

However, those with a regular job, a mortgage on a home that is being paid regularly without late payments, and you pay your bills on time, there are many lenders who will give you an automobile loans.

The terms of the loan may not be as generous as they have been in the past. Overall, interest rates on automobile loans have gone up, and there are fewer low and no interest rate loans available.

Still, credit unions , banks and online lending institutions offer rates that are generally better than those offered by dealers, and they do have money to loan. They will be more vigilant in their underwriting review and their verification of income than they have been in the past, but if you can stand up to that scrutiny, then the results can be rewarding.

Those who have blemishes on their credit record or no cash for a down payment will have a hard time finding financing at a bank or even a credit union.

They may be the perfect candidates for dealer financing. While dealers will not make the risky loans everyone was making 4 or 5 years ago, they do have money to lend. More importantly, they are anxious to make any sale of new cars that they can, so they are very likely to work hard at finding a customer a loan.

So when shopping for auto loan financing, remember to do your homework and have your facts straight, then find the best terms to get your great new car, complete with solid financing.
